So who are you?

My name is Henry Wang and I am currently a MLIS student at UCLA at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and Information Studies. I realized there are a many “Henry Wang“‘s out there, but for sure there only one me.

Q: What’s a MLIS?

A: MLIS stands for Masters in Library and Information Science.

Q: Library school! Why library school? Are you going to be a librarian and shelf books all day?

A: Not quite. Most people are either going into Public, Academic or Special Librarianship. I on the other hand, am not. I’m looking to being work in the corporate world in information management and information architecture. I want to design and build information systems that facilitate user-centered experiences.

Q: So how’d you decide on library school?

A: Well finals week in college, one of my friends told me “Henry you should become a librarian.” I thought about it and ignored it… then I noticed how everyone would always ask me random questions and I always managed find the answers. .. and Yeah now I’m in library school :)
